Clarion new CZ101 series entry-level head units
Part of an exciting 2011 range to benefit from subtle style tweaks, the Clarion CZ101E features CD-R and CD-RW playback, MP3 and WMA file compatibility, a 3.5mm mini jack AUX input on the fascia to support a stand-alone MP3 player, two-channel audio pre-out for connecting an external amplifier and an RDS-EON tuner with 18 FM, 6MW/LW station presets.
With the addition of optional accessory BLT373 Bluetooth adaptor, the new CZ101E also allows for the safe receiving and making of phone calls, via a Bluetooth enabled and paired mobile phone.
By enhancing and extending the look of the popular 2010 range, the new CZ101E's starburst style button illumination now mirrors the rotary volume control, resulting in an advanced H.M.I (human / machine interface), improving safety through greater control.
To ensure there's no let-up on audio quality, the Clarion CZ101E delivers an impressive 4 x 45 watts output, plus Beat EQ, Magna BASS EX and a Low Pass Filter for subwoofer sound enhancement options to boost enjoyment and allow for greater customisation to suit individual taste.
The Clarion CZ101E launched on the UK market through approved retailers during February 2011.
MAP790: Clarion meets customer expectations
Among the highly competitive Portable Navigation Devices market, consumers can
feel lost and find it difficult to differentiate between all available products.
To make things easier, Clarion decided to offer a clear solution, bringing all
advantages together within one unit.
First of all, the car audio and navigation systems leading manufacturer reduced
its standard offering to one unit, the MAP790, meaning that there is no need to
choose which country coverage is best: the MAP790 offers pre-installed map data
for 44 European countries. All "must have" functions are also present; text-to-speech:
while streets are displayed on the screen, voice guidance tells you their actual
name ("after 150 metres, turn left onto Saint Margaret Street..."). The rich voice
guidance comes with enhanced contents displayed on the screen: 360° 3D realistic
views (3D buildings, 3D landmarks), modelling terrain in 3D, topographical view,
as well as lane indicators, motorway signposts, etc. All useful information is automatically
displayed exactly when you need it. Moreover, the device is able to receive traffic
information free of charge (data availability depends on countries) with its built-in
TMC receiver.
In addition to this complete service which allows you to reach your destination
safely without getting lost, the MAP790 includes built-in enhanced Bluetooth functionality,
which enables mobile phone address book management, as well as POP messages for
incoming SMS, and even audio streaming (A2DP) and an audio video remote control
profile (AVRCP).
The MAP790 body is smart and light, meeting today's consumer requirements.
In order to improve the device’s comfort during use, Clarion also offers an optional
cradle that can be fixed in the car and integrates the power supply directly from
the base. The MAP790 then becomes very easy to fix and to release thanks to a clever
clipping system, with no need to fix the unit on the windscreen.
Clarion Liberates In-Car Audio Entertainment
Clarion has been inventing new products for many years, with the aim of restoring
a perfect sound while minimising all intermediates between music and the human ear
as much as possible.
Today, Clarion is about to unveil two new models, once again demonstrating its
know-how, with the FZ709E and the FZ409E from next July.
Both are mechanism-free devices. No more CD. Instead, Bluetooth for the FZ709E,
USB / MP3 / WMA / AAC, and for both models, any mechanical distortion has been purely
and simply made impossible. Moreover, these units are featured with the BBE-MP function,
which restores harmonics lost during digital audio file compression, thereby reproducing
the warmth, detail and nuances of the original source. In addition, its 24-bit D/A
converter changes the 16-bit digital data to a full 24-bit format for the utmost
in resolution and clarity.
Pure sound, but also pure design. Here again, mechanisms are made obsolete. Based
on Clarion’s continuous quest for the ideal H.M.I. (Human Machine Interface), the
OEL display incorporates a unique capacitive sensor operation that provides an advanced
user interface. No more knob to command the device: all operations can be performed
simply by touching the front panel. As only relevant button icons appear for the
task at hand, access is made more direct and responsive.
You are a driver. Become a conductor.
Rich contents for the Clarion CZ501E
Sometimes having to spend a long time in the car has its compensations - at
least it will if you’ve decided to fit the new Clarion CZ501E.
With the blue starburst design, being progressively applied to all new
Clarion head units since the beginning of the year, the CZ501E has a true
high-quality appearance that does not belie the richness of its features.
Start with connectivity. The CZ501E is at ease with any USB peripheral, from
simple USB flash-memory sticks to a portable hard drive. You can also play music
files from an Apple iPod or iPhone, simply by connecting the cable provided with
your device. As well as all that, it also has a front panel mini-jack socket for
connecting an additional music source.
The CZ501E also includes Bluetooth functionality, making it a true multimedia
unit. Bluetooth means you can legally use your mobile phone on the move as a
hands-free kit. The CZ501E comes with an internal microphone for ease of installation, but withthe option of adding an external microphone for the best
conversational sound quality. You can also wirelessly stream audio files from
your Bluetooth phone, extending the range of music sources available.
A complete package, the CZ501E assures High Fidelity acoustics. Set up your
sound using the built-in settings functions (bass amplifier, equaliser, low pass
filter), and possibly add to your installation using the six channel pre-amp
outputs to connect up additional subwoofer and/or amplifiers. The pre-amp's 4
volt output means your amplifiers deliver even more power and purity of sound.
Linked to a factory-fitted remote control adaptor, the CZ501E is also
compatible with most pre-installed steering wheel remote controls.
A no-compromise revolution in in-car pleasure.
